Legends often mistake him and his father for one another, so you’d be forgiven if you’re not exactly sure who Alberich Alfrikr (junior) is. The simple answer is: “he is the manager of the school store.” And he takes his duty very seriously, going so far as to attend classes with wares to sell on hand. He understands how important the revenue from the school’s store is, plus it gives him the chance at first dibs on any items sold to the shop. With the additional benefit of getting to understand “common folk” better which in theory will aid him when he takes up the throne of Niðavellir.
He’s known to be a bit crass which probably stems from the fact that for centuries he's had little to no interaction with others. Which actually is why his father “requested” he attend P.S.A. Even still he is kind and he is generous, guarding the wealth of the Svartálfar kingdom for centuries has really shaped his views. He knows the dangers of hoarding treasure all too well; he's heard the tales and witnessed it first hand.
While he’s not the most academically inclined student he has made use of his time at school. He joined the Fencing Team, the Weightlifting Team, and the Chess Club. While a master forger, he’s taken three years of welding, as well as woodworking. He took Human Cultures, and Human Science, he’s in his fourth year of Spellcasting. He’s also a member of the Student Body Government as vice president. He’s proud to be Svartálfar and he’s proud of his people’s history. And he’s happy to share that history with anyone who asks. He’s glad to share his culture with others and spread what they know. He believes that’s why the gods gave the Svartálfar life in the first place to learn and share what they learn with others.
He’s humble though still a little ignorant. He’s always willing to learn. A lover of mead, and ale, enjoyer of food, and merriment. He can be boisterous and loud, a connoisseur of a good time. But he can also be understanding of the plight of others, while keeping himself emotional reserved, and a bit guarded. He’s not above showing vulnerability to the right people, after all a king must be able to rely on others; and speak freely.
Though Alberich will make a great life long partner for someone. To be with him is also to accept the dangers of dating someone who may at times be under threat; you yourself could become a target as well. You most certainly will bask in a lavish lifestyle with treasure beyond your wildest dreams. But that will come with risks, some you may not even be able to avoid no matter how hard you try. All of Myrkheim will be watching you, and not just them the gods themselves likely will have an eye on you as well. This will be a weight you must bear at all times. So you must ask yourself, is Alberich Alfrikr Jr. worth it?
